Opening Ceremony of ANDROID Laboratory

ANDROID Laboratory was established at Computer Engineering Department of Ankara University.

The ANDROID Laboratory, was established by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Refik Samet (member of Computer Engineering Department), is used for undergradute courses  (“BLM401 Android Operating System For Mobile Devices” (Fall Semester) and “BLM402 Applications Development With Android Operating System” (Spring Semester)) and a gradute course  (“Mobile Operating Systems” (Spring Semester)).

Erasmus Programme, Teaching Staff Mobility

Instructor Pejman Panahi was attended in ERASMUS Teaching Staff Mobility
Program at University of Ostrava, Department of Informatics and Computer
Science from 01.10.2012 to 08.10.2012. He had lectures for both undergraduate
and graduate students in the fields of Ad Hoc Networks, Wireless Sensor Networks
and Cloud Computing.

Erasmus Programme, Teaching Staff Mobility

Assistant Professor Refik Samet was assigned at ERASMUS Programme of Teaching Staff Mobility at the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences of Austria between 06.11.2011 – 12.11.2011. Dr. Refik Samet has thought courses for graduate students on the topics of Reliability and Fault Tolerance of Computer Systems. He has also discussed the common research and project possibilities about image processing, 3-D animation and wireless network.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. İman Askerbeyli (Askerzade) has visited International Spring School and Educational Courses in Antalya during 20-25 April 2010 about “Computational Methods in Condensed Matter Physics”.

International Conference On Superconductivity and Magnetism

Assoc. Prof. Dr. İman Askerbeyli (Askerzade) has attended to the International Conference on Superconductivity and Magnetism in Antalya during 25-30 April 2010 about “Numerical Simulation of vortex nucleation in Superconductors.”

International Conference On Modern Problem  of Physics 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. İman Askerbeyli (Askerzade) has visited the Institute of  Physical Problems of Baku State University, in Azerbaijan during  17-21 December  2009 and attended to the International Conference on Modern Problem of  Physics  with oral presentation ‘Numerical modeling vortex nucleation in two-band Ginzburg-Landau theory’.

2nd International Conference and Advanced School on Turbulent Mixing and Beyond

Assoc. Prof. Dr. İman Askerbeyli (Askerzade) has visited the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics in Italy during August 1st and September 15th and attended to the “2nd International Conference and Advanced School on Turbulent Mixing and Beyond” as an associate member during July 27th and August 7th 2009.

Kabul Politechnic Institute

An Information Technology Faculty is being set up in Kabul Polytechnic Institute of Afghanistan. Instructors from our department are offering courses within this work. In first place, Prof. Dr. Baki Koyuncu, Asst. Prof. Dr. Recep Eryiğit and Inst. Bülent Tuğrul has attended these educational activities.

26th Balkan Mathematics Olympiad

Asst. Prof. Dr. Şahin Emrah has attended to the 26th Balkan Mathematics Olympiad which was held between April 28 and May 4 2009 Kragujevac in Serbia as the team leader of the Turkish team. Our team has won 2 golden, 4 silver medals and and ranked 2nd between 20 countries. We extend our congratulations to everyone who has contributed to this success.

Winterschool on Basic Principles, Theories and Technological Applications of Superconductivity

Assoc. Prof. Dr. İman Askerbeyli (Askerzade) has attended to the winterschool which was held between January 24 and February 2009 in Antalya as an invited speaker and presented seminars on the topics “BCS Theory”, “Ginzburg-Landau Theory” and “Eliashberg Theory”.
